The first fox shrine I found in Kyoto. The first of many, Many, MANY!!! Kyoto really is the origin of Inari worship, and so there's just SO MANY fox shrines around. So buckle up, because we're going to be in Kyoto for the rest of the year. It's also the first of many fox shrines that I should find on Christmas day.

This is a side shrine of Toufuku-ji (東福寺 "East Fortune Temple"), one of Kyotos several big temple complexes.  A pair of life-sized stone foxes watch over this one. It's probably an Inari shrine, but I can't be sure.
