373 ~ Kikumaku Ookami, Sutemaru Ookami
Japanese Names: 菊丸大神, 捨丸大神
Romanized Readings: Kikumaku Ookami, Sutemaru Ookami
English Translations: Chrysanthemum Circle Great Deity, Discarded Circle Great Deity
Size: Tiny side shrine of Kobogataki within Fushimi Inari Taisha
Deity: ?
Fox Count: 3
First Visit: 25-Dec-2018
Location: Kyoto-Fushimi
Address:27 Fukakusa Sasayamachō, Fushimi Ward, Kyoto, 612-0811
Coordinates: 34.9655,135.7806The 13th vulpine side shrine of Fushimi Inari Taisha, and the sixth within the Kobogataki supercluster, located in the western area. This one features a small and slightly broken porcelain fox in addition two its two obligatory (and also kinda weathered) life-sized stone foxes. This makes it one of the odd shrines out here, because really, most of the shrines in this supercluster have exactly two foxes. In fact, of the 56 fox shrines in here, only six have more or less than two foxes, and this is the only one that features exactly three. What are the odds?
