The northernmost fox shrine that I should visit on my journey, and one of the northernmost in all of Japan. This one is a side shrine of Shingonji (真言寺 "True Say Temple"). A pair of lithe, life-sized black metal foxes sits watch outside, and another four of the standard tiny porcelain foxes reside within, along with another pair of different make.
