English Translation: Muddy Rice Field Inari Shrine
Size: Small
Deity: Inari
Fox Count: 2
First Visit: 23-Aug-2018
Location: Nagano
Address:
2 Chome-18-7 Hakoshimizu, Nagano, 380-0801, Japan
Coordinates:

A fox shrine near the northeastern edge of Nagano, where the valley floor meets the hills. Located to the north of the Zenkouji (善光寺 "Virtuous Light Temple") complex and west of the Jouyama Doubutsuen ("Castle Mountain Zoo" 城山動物園) - both of which are basically free of charge - this area is generally very recommendable. If you have just one day to explore Nagano, I'd suggest you spend it here. Anyway, a pair of life-sized stone foxes of unique make watch over this shrine.
