The only fox shrine that I should find during my stay in Nanao (七尾 "Seven Tails") in Ishikawa-ken (石川県 "Stone River Prefecture"), on the prominent peninsula on the northwestern coast of Japan. Specifically, I am staying in the Wakura Onsen (和倉温泉 "Peaceful Warehouse Hot Springs") resort town. This town is famous for its hot springs, in which you can even boil eggs. In fact, this town has made a theme out of that, which is why I am always going to remember this place as Egg Utopia.
Anyway, a pair of life-sized stone foxes watch over this shrine, which is located not far from the famous egg boiling spring.
