Deity: Inari?
Fox Count: 2
First Visit: 8-May-2018
Location: Nikko
Address: 1-10 Matsubarachō, Nikko, Tochigi 321-1406The first fox shrine that I should find outside of the Tokyo area. We're in the cultural heritage town of Nikko (日光 "Sun Light"), over a 100 km north of Tokyo now. This tiny fox shrine with its two porcelain foxes is conveniently located just across the street from the Tobu-Nikko station. It is located in a tiny private front yard, but you can see the shrine from the sidewalk just fine. Also, once again, and for the last time now, this is a shrine that I visited exactly 6 years ago as of the time of this posting.
